Grades 7–8 and 9–10
Econium is a student-led academic initiative built around intellectual challenge, mathematical reasoning, and a broader commitment to educational ambition. Through olympiads, future outreach work, and academic support, the platform aims to create opportunities for students to engage with competitive and analytical learning environments.
The Econium Mathematics Olympiad 2026 serves as the initiative’s flagship competition, bringing together school students in a structured setting that rewards problem solving, depth of thinking, and academic curiosity.
Grades 7–8
This paper is designed for younger participants and focuses on strong foundations in arithmetic, logic, introductory algebra, patterns, and geometry-based reasoning.
Grades 9–10
This paper is intended for older participants and emphasizes deeper mathematical analysis, algebraic thinking, number theory, geometry, probability, and olympiad-style reasoning.
Preparation resources for both divisions will be added here. These may include syllabus guidance, sample questions, reference sheets, and practice material aligned with the olympiad format.
All participants will receive an official Econium e-certificate. High-performing students will be awarded distinctions on the basis of overall performance and rank.

Co-Founder
Vetrivel Karthikeyan is a Grade 11 student at MCTM Chidambaram Chettiyar International School. He has a deep interest in economics and mathematics, and aspires to pursue a degree in economics in the future. His academic interests extend into research, and he has written a research paper focused on private equity. Beyond academics, he also takes interest in basketball.

Aggastya Roongta is an aspiring business student with a strong interest in economics and broader commercial thinking. He is deeply passionate about economics and is committed to building student-led academic initiatives with long-term impact. Outside academics, he takes a keen interest in cricket.
